about student sponsorships
When you sponsor a boy or girl, you are impacting lives for generations by ending the cycle of poverty. When students are able to complete a high school education job opportunities more than double. Unfortunately, many girls are pulled out of school early to get married for a dowry or to work across the border in Thailand. These are women that are at high risk for being human trafficked.
In addition to providing an education, your monthly sponsorship provides a young person the opportunity to stay at a dormitory where they will not need to worry about shelter, food, clothing and school supplies.
When you make the decision to sponsor a student, our Bright Futures Staff works to find the perfect match for you. Every month, donors will be updated on their student’s academic progress and how they can pray for their student.
We are in urgent need for 2 more student sponsors, that have already started school. We would love for you to join us on this journey and meet your student to make a brighter future for them and their families.

Souy Sean lived with her disadvantaged family. She had fought so hard to stay in school until grade 11. Then she had to make the difficult decision to stop schooling. She could not bear seeing her mom do light and hard work for only $4 a day.
Souy Sean knew that the reason her mom was making the sacrifice was so that she could go to school.
When Souy Sean shared with her mom about her decision she and her mom shed tears together. Souy Sean told her mom, "Don't stop me from this decision."
Souy Sean said, "I can't stop my tears for this wonderful news. It is like a dream for me." Souy Sean wants to be teacher in the future.
Finally, Souy Sean is so thankful to her donors who have chosen and gave her a great opportunity.
Bright Futures Cambodia was able to tell Souy Sean and her mom that there is a couple in Seattle, Washington that wants to sponsor her schooling
SUOY SEAN finished high school last year and started college this past January 2023!
